We are one of the nation’s premier providers of end-of-life care. Each of our hospice care locations offer the highest level of customized, compassionate, high-quality care and support programs to ensure the comfort of your loved one. If you’re looking for local hospice care, All Caring Hospice provides support for the following service areas in Geauga County:
The mission of All Caring Hospice is to understand and help guide our patients’ quest for a rewarding quality of life in their final days and to help their circle of family and friends support them in life and grieve for them in death. All Caring pledges to provide expert hospice care for the comfort and dignity of the terminally ill by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. All Caring Hospice seeks to provide care for all appropriate patients and families who need hospice services regardless of their ability to pay.
Anyone diagnosed with a limited life expectancy can receive All Caring Hospice care. A physician certifies that the illness is terminal, (with a life expectancy of 6 months or less). The physician collaborates with the All Caring Hospice team for services, tailored to the needs and wishes of the patient. Many patients have cancer, but All Caring Hospice cares for those with many other life-limiting illness, including heart and lung disease, kidney disease, neurological disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Family and friends also receive the benefit of hospice care, to help them support the patient and adapt to changes in their lives. All Caring Hospice continues supporting families for over one year after the patient’s death.
Many people mistakenly believe that hospice patients are bed-bound, critically ill, and unable to continue living life to the fullest. Hospice celebrates life and supports you in achieving your individual needs in this chapter of your life. Contact the Admission Coordinator at All Caring Hospice in Cleveland Ohio with any questions you may have about hospice care or eligibility.
After receiving a diagnosis for limited life expectancy, patients must make an important choice about goals for their treatment. When your physician tells you that there is no curative treatment for your illness, the treatment is not helping any longer or you decide that the side effects of treatment are too great, you may consider choosing comfort care as your goal.
Aggressive medical treatment focuses on curing the physical illness rather than satisfying the patient’s emotional and spiritual needs. It often requires intensive care in a clinical setting that can diminish quality of life. Hospice care has the focus of comfort, by relieving pain and other symptoms, while continuing to address emotional and spiritual needs of both the patient and family.
All Caring Hospice care neither prolongs life nor hastens death, but relieves pain and physical discomfort so that the patient can experience a more peaceful and satisfying quality of life. Hospice care is designed to primarily take place in the home. Many families tell us that they waited too long to take full advantage of all the benefits offered by hospice care.

All Caring’s number one priority is to take every precaution to safeguard our patients, their families and our team. We are strictly adhering to the COVID–19 recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as the state and local Departments of Health Services directives. Be assured that the health and safety of our employees, our communities and the healthcare partners we serve will remain our highest priority.
Hospices will continue to play a critical role as we support our hospitals and other health care providers in keeping appropriate patients out of the hospital and safely at home during this unprecedented pandemic. All Caring has implemented strict infectious disease protocols to ensure that the risk of exposure is mitigated for everyone, but particularly for those individuals who are considered most vulnerable and at risk for serious complications from the COVID-19 virus.
All Caring has implemented many processes to support the safety of our team, our clinical partners, and patients since this outbreak began. These processes include daily staff screenings by a registered nurse, education on proper PPE utilization and best infection control practices as well as continued sanitation of all equipment in the field and in our offices. Our team continues to follow social distancing guidelines and has been encouraged to avoid highly populated areas both professionally and personally to reduce their risk of contracting COVID-19. The telehealth option for patients and facilities, telephonic check-ins to manage symptoms, and virtual support for our partners has been implemented and is being executed in any locations that are able to collaborate to ensure this process. In regards to our network of volunteers we have asked that volunteers stay home, stay safe and support our nation’s effort to flatten the curve of spread.
To be specific on our SAFETY protocols:
Our staff is:
> Equipped with appropriate PPE and instructed to follow CDC guidelines for correct utilization of PPE in order to be responsible users of resources.
> Trained on the importance of universal infection control practices, with heightened awareness of the highly contagious nature of this particular virus.
> Required to report any recent domestic or international travel, any symptoms they are experiencing or illness of any members in their household. As necessary, staff who fall in certain categories will be subject to specific quarantine periods and are managed based on CDC, State and Local guidance.
We have:
> Updated Emergency Preparedness Plans.
> Activated our Emergency Disaster Management Plan to monitor and meet the unique needs of patients.
> Developed comprehensive COVID-19 policies and procedures.
> Created support service teams who will be offering support groups, one-on-one counseling and community education via video conference calls.
